Death Culture in the Netherlands

Filed under: Theology, General — Shamgar @ 2:02 pm

I will warn you up front that this will make you absolutely ill. If you are a parent, it will likely break your heart.

This is one of the most sickening, most saddening things I’ve read in a very long time. I’m not even sure if I have anything to add at this point.

Ok, maybe one thing. When discussing things like vaccines, and other things the medical community tries to force on us, I frequently get pushback. People hold doctors up as if they are some great group of people, above reproach. That if something questionable was going on, there would be people shouting about it.

No. No there wouldn’t, because there isn’t. When abortion can run rampant without an outcry from physicians, what makes you think they would raise a cry about a small portion of children being permanently damaged by a vaccine? Or even dying from it?

Doctors are just like you and me. They are susceptible to the same issues of pride as everyone else. Moreso because of the work they do. Yes, there are good doctors. I have one, one which is upset about these things, and which does not recommend vaccines and other such things. One which promotes natural healing where applicable even.

These are not the majority of doctors though, and even with the few like mine that exist you’ll note they aren’t making a huge difference, nor are they being heard in the greater medical community.

In fact, speaking out could remove their ability to help the people they can. So they remain silent. I imagine there are good doctors in the netherlands too, yet they obv have a problem with the majority of doctors willingly killing infants, most then lying to the parents about what happened!

No, doctors get no pass on scrutiny from me.

That time of year again.

Filed under: General — Shamgar @ 1:09 pm

Dunno about the rest of you, but around this time every year my company sponsors flu vaccines for all employees. They setup shop in our breakroom and the sheep line up outside to get stuck.

It makes me sick. Most of these people are completely uninformed. They believe whatever the media and the CDC tell them to believe regardless of any evidence to the contrary.

Last year, the CDC did their level best to scare people into getting vaccinated. Stirred up fears about a new strain of the virus that was particularly nasty and showing up in Texas and Colorado.

So, even more people went out and got them. So many, that they ran out of vaccines. Yet in a follow up study (the first of its kind, afaik) done in CO, they found that the vaccines were only 3-14% effective in those that received it! Included in this group, was a certain little boy who died from the flu. A little boy whose story was widely published in the media and contributed to the run on vaccines, when as it turns out, he himself had been vaccinated.

This year, they will continue their push for people to get vaccinated. They will continue to try to get the government to force us to take these vaccines, despite the fact that any immunity you might receive is temporary at best, and effective only if they guess correctly at which strains of the virus will be most prevalent this year. While if I just take the risk as a healthy adult (or allow my healthy children to) we will gain a natural, probably lifelong, immunity to that strain if we encounter it. Perhaps worst of all, they will probably continue to buy the cheaper vaccines with mercury in them for giving to the poor who can’t afford them.

Obviously, in addition to being against the vaccination in general, I’m also against the idea of using my money to buy it for others. However, far more than that, I am against the possibility that they could be injecting mercury into these people. Particularly pregnant mothers!

On top of all this, they continue to push for legislation requiring insurance reimbursement, more programs to provide it, buyback of unused vaccines, and again, laws forcing all americans, children, adults, and the elderly, to take the flu vaccine.

So, once again this year I will put out my warnings. I cannot bear the thought that by remaining silent, some loving mother might allow them to stick her child with a result of illness, brain damage, or worse, death. Or that through their ignorance, these people will willingly perpetuate the problem, and by voting with their feet, support the CDC’s legislative goals.

Most will not listen, but I’ll sleep easier having done what I can to share what I have learned.

FCD2 - Q&A

Filed under: General — Shamgar @ 3:07 pm

This was a fun one. It will come as no surprise that most of the questions were for Dr White, and centered around NPP, with a few regarding the specific issues at SBTS.

I’m glad Dr White was able to make this presentation, as from this session and questions that I heard people ask Dr White and questions I was asked I gather that there were a lot of people who were either not aware of NPP or had not had an opportunity to inform themselves fully on what it was about.

As Dr White has mentioned, this is quickly creeping into our churches through seminary students, the laity reading such accessible works as ‘what saint paul really said’ and soon probably even through pastors. We need to be aware of this, as they use much of the same language while meaning entirely different things. This requires us to keep careful watch, and to be informed on this teaching.

FCD2 - Suffering and Sanctification

Filed under: General — Shamgar @ 3:02 pm

Another great message for Dr White. You know, he only had a handful of notes for this entire weekend. Further evidence that effective preaching comes from a reliance on the holy spirit for not only words, but for reaching the hearts of the people who hear your message.

As I mentioned in the past, I have read Dr Piper’s ‘Desiring God’ and was very affected by the chapters on Suffering. This was a message I had not heard before in any church I had attended, and one greatly needed. By me and the church in general.

Dr White’s presentation was, imo, at least as good. I know he does not relish speaking this message, and understandably so. It’s not likely to be popular with a lot of people. Yet we desperately need to hear it. While many will focus on the suffering aspect, those of us who listen can hear the much more important underlying thread. A comfort that only comes when you understand this all-important issue, that it is God’s providence that brings such things into our lives for His glory, and our good. There is no such thing as random evil.

Founders Conf - Day 2

Filed under: General — Shamgar @ 5:12 pm

Dr White’s presentation was of course great. Very good overview of the New perspectives on paul, as well as practical implications. AND, he used his british accent. ;-)

Being in texas, it was a slightly modified presentation than one you would say…give in MA. Ah what a wonderful church this is. Full of CCW holders, with an annual shoot out! Man I love Texas.

Wow! Wireless access! This is great!

Now I can blog from here…and kill my laptop battery.

Aside from some really upsetting news regarding summer, and her teacher letting her pride get in the way of educating her students, it’s been good.

We had an excellent breakfast, and now we are listening to Dr Jarret Downs, who is presenting on the topic of preaching sanctification out of Titus 1.

As a layperson, I love what he is saying. Preach doctrine, apply it to the lives of your congregation. Preach to your congregation, not people outside of it. Practice hospitality, so you know what’s relevant. Maybe common stuff within the reformed church, but not in the churches I grew up in.

Found out today this church has an annual shoot out!! Dr White has planned a nice suprise for the beginning of his presentation on New perspecitivism in light of that. ;-) Now we just have to pray he can get through it, given the upsetting news he has received this morning. :-(

Heritage Baptist Church

Wow, what a great church. From the members I had the privilege of meeting, to the young people who were joyfully serving us during the evening it was a joy to be a part of. This church is truly an example of what Christ’s church is to be.

I was also able to meet a fellow channel rat, leovinus. I’m grateful to him for not mocking me when I made a fool of myself at the end of the service. ;-) (We were singing from these large 3-ring binders. I had to sneeze and brought my hand up to cover my mouth and sent the notebook flying. I had to stretch way out to catch it and avoid making an even bigger distraction. sigh No, my middle name is not grace)

Founders Conference, Day 1

Filed under: Theology, General — Shamgar @ 4:40 am

About 6-8 years ago, I was attending a church…arminian/wesleyan, that had hired a nazarene pastor. I stayed there for awhile after, though I voted against hiring him. He did not believe in preaching the wrath of God whatsoever. His prayers frequently included the lines “Just…let us climb up in your lap lord…and hold us for awhile…” (Sorry. No, I’m not paying to replace your keyboard. No, I won’t provide blog-sickness bags in the future either.)

This, to me, was horrible offensive, but that’s another story. The point of this is that he had no real content in anything he taught. I stayed on, hoping the church would see and we could fire him and hire a real pastor. This was the church I had grown up in and leaving it was hard, you see.
