Pentacostal Evangel

Filed under: Theology, General — Shamgar @ 1:10 am

First, familiarize yourself with the study in question. Seems fairly straightforward right? Well, in last weeks Evangel, I read this:

“Heavy drinkers [are] significantly impaired on measures of working memory, processing, speed, attention, executive function, and balance.”

So far so good right? This is the same as what we read already. Now check out the attribution

Oh my aching back

Filed under: General — Shamgar @ 10:37 pm

Well this just really bites. After digging the whole for our flagpole I went to pick up some cement and managed to wrench my back…again. Same place. So now I’m going to be laid up for a bit, and the flagpole isn’t going to get put in the ground. And then there’s the chiropractic costs. :-(
What a pain.

Reagan

Filed under: Politics, General — Shamgar @ 11:39 pm

Most of you are probably well aware of Reagan’s passing by now. While I’m definately sad such a great man has passed from this world, I can help but be happy for him. I’m sure going to his rest was welcome for him. My prayers are obviously with Mrs Reagan, and the family. She was truly a remarkable woman to stand by him through this. It could not have been easy.

I saw a clip from a speech given by John Kerry. That man disgusts me. It really angers me to see these slimebag politicians who slandered him in life now try to cozy up to him in death in an effort to gain from an assication with such a great man. Worse, they minimize his accomplishments by making pithy comments about what they learned from him. If all they learned from his time as president is baloney about partisan politics then they weren’t paying attention.

Hooray for Contractors

Filed under: General — Shamgar @ 11:35 pm

I finally got some help! Woohoo! My company hired a contractor and are willing to let me offload everything regarding the AD project implementation onto him!

In practical terms, it means I only have to do the work of TWO people instead of THREE!
